Wee Can Pre-School & Early Childhood Program
Meet Our Staff
The crowning jewel of our Wee Can Pre-School and Child Care program is our staff. Please feel free to look over their qualifications and training.
As required by New York State law, all of our employees have been fingerprinted, have undergone thorough background checks and have had to provide proof of good health. All employees also complete a minimum of 15 continuing education hours yearly, based on their area of focus.
Julie Wettlaufer - RN/MSN - Founder and Executive Director
Masters Degree in Nursing - 1988, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Registered Nurse - 1982, Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing
Professional experience - 23 years of nursing, 22 of which have been at the Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo. In-patient adolescent, medical surgical nursing, Intensive Care Unit nurse, Emergency Room nurse, urology Nurse Practitioner, medical supervision for an experimental in-patient "short stay unit" for general pediatrics. Last 10 years as a Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Department at the Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo. She is well known in the pediatric community by most private pediatricians.
Julie is the manager of Wee Can and also likes to be involved in the day-to-day care of the children. She is always available to discuss questions or concerns you have about your child and/or the staff at Wee Can.
Lynn Hodson - RN - Nursing Director
Registered Nurse - 1982, Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing. Diverse nursing experience including cardiology, obstetrics, urology, general medical surgical nursing and research. Most recent experience as a school nurse in the Orchard Park School District . Lynn is the nurse involved in day-to-day care of our children at Wee Can.
Leanne Shular - Teacher's Aid
Leanne is an early childhood special education student at Daemen college. Leanne works with the children on all aspects of educational goals.
Amy Nwora - Occupational Therapist, PhD.
